I Went To College Orientation
08 January 2018
Life has been a really big ride so far. Then again if it wasn't I would be really bored or just looking for trouble. So finally the day has come where I have applied to college and been accepted. This past Saturday I went to orientation with a whole bunch of middle aged adults and about three other people who were around the same age as me. Shocking. This exact moment is when I realized I wasn't a kid anymore. That my life of going to school in lalaland were over and I was on adulthoods turf, but I am definitely not looking to stir up anymore trouble I might just end up actually paying some more bills.
While in orientation I had to use the bathroom and ended up going and I missed the most important part. The part where they were going to tell me what classes I had to take. So when it came time to sign up for my classes I literally opened up a folder I had and just stared at it like I actually knew what I was doing. Then this really nice advisor came and helped me sort of figure out what I needed to take. I think I was starting to feel what all my teachers have taught me before.

" That college professors will not grab you by the hand and help you out"
I guess I didn't care if they wanted to help me or not. I needed them to help me navigate what classes I should be taking. I ended up choosing all my classes online for this semester because it is too cold outside to be leaving the house for school plus I do work better alone when I am not distracted by others. I always had this really bad problem of laughing a lot and being distracted during school.
Anyways back to the classes part. I ended up choosing some stuff I don't really know about, but need for my journalism major. When I finally got my self registered for the classes I ended up taking a look at the books I needed and found that the "lowest priced" college bookstore was actually more expensive than buying it on Amazon. So my next purchases will be from Amazon Prime.
Tell me about your college experience.
What should I try during college?
Do you guys recommend anything school wise?
